That being said as I think the Lions hit their stride last week against Jesuit, and will only get better as the season progresses. I expect West Linn to pull out a close one.

#3 Jesuit (2-1) @ #7 Sherwood (2-1) JES -8

The Sherwood football community does it right and they should feel confident after last week's 47-35 win at Lakeridge. [player_tooltip player_id='376141' first='Nick' last='Gribble']'s four 4th quarter touchdowns has to be some type of record. Don't expect anything similar against Jesuit as the Crusaders D is a veteran group, looking to take last week's loss out on somebody. Look for a quality smash mouth football game.

#13 Westview (1-2) @ #4 Tualatin (3-0) TUAL -17.5

Both teams have a lot in common, each playing 5A #1 Summit and #2 Wilsonville, with very different outcomes. The T-Wolves will make some one other than [player_tooltip player_id='110209' first='Jordan' last='Fisher'] beat them. The key for the Cats will be to keep POY candidate [player_tooltip player_id='110178' first='Jack' last='Wagner'] in check, which is a tall order for anyone.

Nelson (2-0) @ #5 Central Catholic (2-1) CC -28

Nelson has outscored its opponents 83-18 through 2.5 games, although the competition has not been good. It will be interesting to see if they can compete or at least keep it close against the reigning state champs.

Barlow (1-2) @ #6 Clackamas (2-1) CLACK -9.5

Barlow is a dangerous team with relatively close losses to Lake O and Mountainside on the season. David Douglas kept it close for a half against Clack before losing 45-0. This will be a telling contest for both programs.

Liberty (2-1) @ #8 Tigard (3-0) TIG -20

Tigard has looked great thus far against bad competition. The Falcons should be a little better, but still lost to a down Sunset program 35-34 last week. We will find out how real the Tigers are during Three Rivers League play. If they are truly legit this one shouldn't be close.

Newberg (3-0) @ #9 Mountainside (3-0) MTSIDE -19.5

Mountainside is one of the fastest rising programs in the state and coming off a huge road win against traditional state power Lake Oswego. Newberg's record is deceptive, playing some of the lowest ranked 6A teams in Oregon. If the Mavs are going to compete for a Metro title, they should win this handily.

#10 Lakeridge (1-2) @ Sunset (2-1) LAK -16.5

It's been a tough couple weeks for the Pacers losing to #3 Jesuit and #7 Sherwood at home. If they are going to compete in the TRL, expect them to show up and make a statement against the Apollos, who struggled with Sandy and got blasted by South Salem.

#11 South Medford (3-0) #14 South Salem (3-0) SSalem -2

Definitely one of the most interesting games of the week. South Salem has looked nothing short of phenomenal the last two weeks, outscoring their opponents (Sunset and Grants Pass 90-14). South Medford has done some of the same, beating their three opponents by a score of 117-28. Something has to give as each is looking to crack the top 10.

#12 Lake Oswego (2-1) @ McMinnville (2-1) LO -17.5

LO is young and showed that last week in the loss to Mountainside. That said as Steve Coury is one of the best to ever coach in Oregon. If McMinnville can keep it close this would be a huge boost for MHS.

#15 North Salem (3-0) @ North Medford (1-2) NMED -2.5

Another game which will tell us a lot about each program. 3* RB [player_tooltip player_id='147245' first='Josiah' last='Davis'] went down late with an injury last week for the Vikings. North Medford has an abundance of talent on their roster but got embarrassed the first two weeks of the season, before beating an always solid West Salem program 35-14.
